Our approach
We respect other people’s work and expect our members to do the same. When a rights holder properly tells us that something on MonetizeU infringes their copyright, we remove or disable access to it, and we close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. Members agree in our Terms that they own, or have permission to share, everything they post.
Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe content on the community or anywhere else on the site infringes your copyright, email support@monetizeuai.com with the subject “Copyright notice”, or post it to the address at the bottom of this page. Please include:
- your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is fine);
- a description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed;
- where the material is on our site (the full web address of the post, comment or page), with enough detail for us to find it;
- your name, postal address, email address and phone number;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
Please note that a notice with false claims can make the sender legally responsible for the damage it causes. If you aren’t sure the use is infringing, consider asking a lawyer first.
What we do with a notice
We look at the notice promptly. If it is complete and the material appears to infringe, we remove it or disable access, and we tell the member who posted it. We may give that member a copy of your notice, including your name and contact details.
If your content was removed (counter-notice)
If you think we removed your content by mistake or because it was wrongly identified, you can send us a counter-notice at the same email address. Include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- what was removed and where it appeared before it was removed;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, postal address and phone number, and a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any court where we can be found) and will accept legal papers from the person who sent the original notice.
We pass the counter-notice to the person who complained. Unless they tell us within about 10 to 14 business days that they have started a court action, we may put the material back.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of members who are repeatedly found to have infringed copyright, and we may do so after a single serious case.
Other intellectual property concerns
For a trademark or other rights concern, or if you want to tell us about someone sharing our own course materials, use the same email address. For a post that breaks our rules for another reason, use the report option on the post (see the Community Guidelines).
